New Player Evaluations
New Player Evaluations
A skills evaluation is required for all players in
Divisions 8U and older
who did not participate in the previous year's Fall Soccer program. New players who particpated in this year's Spring Soccer program still need evaluation.
New players are required to attend only ONE evaluation session. Times and locations are subject to change, please double check the information below, before attending an evaluation.
These are evaluations, not a tryout. Everyone Plays!
Evaluations will be set soon
at
Adam Bischoff Memorial Soccer Fields
Please do not be late.
Evaluators will assign a skills rating to the new player and to players who may have skipped a season, and the rating will be used when we assign players to teams. At the end of each season, team coaches assign a rating to the players on their teams, and the rating is used for team assignment the following season.
Players are assigned to teams through a process designed to balance all the teams in a Division so that, based on player ratings, no one team is superior to the others. We have found this method to be effective. It conforms to the AYSO philisophy "Balanced Teams," and it helps create an environment in which each team has a competitive opportunity within in the Division. Balanced teams help to achieve our goal for players to "Have Fun."
What to wear?
Shorts, t-shirt, shin guards and soccer cleats.
***
What to bring?
Water to drink and a practice ball.
***
How long does it take?
Approximately one hour, depending in the player turnout for each session and the number of volunteer evaluators available.
***
What happens next?
Players will be assigned to teams in mid-July and coaches will contact you by mid-August.
